About the Attorney

Munia Jabbar is a labor and employment lawyer who specializes in representing employees and labor unions. She represents employees in a broad range of matters, including discrimination, hostile work environment and harassment, whistleblower and other retaliation, failures to accommodate, unpaid wages, breach of contract, and noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements. Munia also works with public sector unions to help achieve the best possible working conditions for their members. Above all, Munia is passionately committed to client-focused representation by adapting her approach to each individual client’s goals to help them achieve their best possible outcomes.

Munia is a member of the Washington Employment Lawyers' Association (WELA), an association of attorneys specializing in representing employees. She serves on WELA’s Amicus Committee, where she engages in appellate advocacy advancing employee rights.

Munia is also a leader in the King County, Washington labor & employment bar. She is a Trustee of the King County Bar Association Labor & Employment Section. She also served as the 2023-2024 Section Chair for as the Conference Chair of the Section’s 56th Pacific Coast Labor and Employment Law Conference (PCLELC) from 2022-2023. She was selected by her peers as a “Super Lawyer” in 2026.

Munia also enjoys speaking at continuing legal education seminars about cutting-edge employee and labor rights topics, including sexual harassment, race discrimination, and appellate updates.

Munia is a graduate of Harvard College and New York University School of Law, where she participated in Law Review. After serving as law clerk to Associate Judge Todd E. Edelman in District of Columbia Superior Court, Munia worked at a nonprofit in Washington, D.C. specializing in civil rights advocacy for racial and religious minorities. Munia then had the good fortune to move to Washington and practice employee and union-side labor and employment law for several years before founding Jabbar Law PLLC.

When she is not working, Munia enjoys spicy food and cold, gray Washington beach hikes with her family.
